Goal and objectives of the project

Overall goals: A recycling procedure of waste plastics into useful materials used in agriculture and forestry to minimize their impact on to environment will be achieved. Trials will be also established.

Detailed objectives: Establish a recycling procedure of waste plastics into oxo-biodegradable nursery container with capacity of 20kg/h. Production of 100kg of oxo-biodegradable nursery container and establishment of 03 trials of cuttings.

Main results

Theoretical results:

  • Oxo- biodegradable nursery container: 13x15cm size, 35-40µm thickness, biodegradation starts after about 4-6 months, tensile strength of 20.41-22.01MPa, elongation at break of 617.46-691.76%, compressive strength of 100-110MPa, flexural strength of 110-120MPa, specific density 1.10-1.20g/cm3, moisture content of 0.23-0.49%.
  • 01 technical documents review
  • 03 sets of survey data of management measures of waste plastic in some provinces and cities in the North.
  • 01 recycling procedure of waste plastics into oxo-biodegradable nursery container with capacity of 30 kg/h.
  • 03 trials of oxo-biodegradable nursery container for three species cuttings with scale of 11.000 seedlings/species (pine, eucalyptus and acacia seedlings)
  • 03 scientific report describes the results of trials of oxo-biodegradable nursery container for three species cuttings (pine, eucalyptus and acacia seedlings)

  • Appreciate paper of trials results of oxo-biodegradable nursery container for three species cuttings from Viet The Company Limited.
  • Appreciate paper of field trials results of foresting 3 species seedlings in oxo-biodegradable nursery container from Nga Hoa Private Company.

A recycling procedure of waste plastics into oxo- biodegradable nursery container was established, contributing to the scientific and technological solutions for environmental protection and sustainable development.
