The MOU between VAST and KAIST aimed to create conditions for scientists and research teams of the both sides to increase cooperation in commonly shared areas. Through the MOU, both VAST and KAIST committed to support each other in exchanging researchers, organising scientific events and building bilateral cooperation projects.
On behalf of VAST, professor Chau Van Minh highly appreciated the collaboration aggrement between the two sides, saying he hoped that based on the MOU, VAST and KAIST would promptly work together on scientific areas concerned by the two sides. He also wished the working visit of KAIST delegates in Vietnam success.
Professor Kil-Saeng Chung, KAIST President, showed his desire to establish a long-term and effective cooperative relationship in scientific research with subjects of great relevance, contributing to the application of science and technology which will serve the two countries’ socio-economic development.
During the working visit of KAIST delegates to Vietnam, a workshop on life science was held at VAST with the participation of Vietnamese and Korean scientists. During the workshop, delegates delivered seven scientific reports focusing on the study of biological diversification and the application of biological technology in improving and increasing the productivity of plants in agricultural production.
