Receiving Russian high technology business delegation


On October 6th, 2014, VAST received a business delegation from Russia representing the high-tech sector.

The reception drew the participation of Prof. Nguyen Dinh Cong, Vice President of VAST, representatives from relevant departments and institutes under VAST, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development A.E. Likhachev and 20 representatives from businesses in the field of high technology.

Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development, A.E. Likhachev expressed his desire to seek the possibility of cooperation, to promote research and development in the field of science and technology with VAST. He gave a brief introduction on the delegation including the specialisms of companies in the field of high technology such as information technology, nano-technology, energy saving, automation, biotechnology, metallurgy technology, pharmaceutical, environment and medical technology.

The two sides exchanged cooperation opportunities in potential fields such as composite production to serve space and avian, material antifouling technology, productions stimulating growth from plant, environmental protection issues, water treatment, high technology application software, navigation system and technology to manufacture satellite equipment.

On behalf of VAST, Vice President Cong thanked the Russian delegation’s introduction on companies. In order to understand more about the activities of each company, the delegation sent VAST the Complex Business Mission, including the direct contact for each company in the delegation towards the expansion of cooperation in the near future.
