On February 28th, a delegation from Italy’s Trento University led by its vice head, Prof. Maurizio Marchese, paid a working visit to Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).
International Cooperative Activities
On February 20th, Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh, president of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, received Japan’s Osaka University delegation led by Prof. Yamanaka Shinsuke.
From September 12-18, 2016, Prof. Chau Van Minh, Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), led a working delegation from VAST and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to work with partners in Japan and the Russian Federation.
Over the past years, VAST has conducted diverse cooperation programs in research, application and training with Japanese partners such as the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the University of Osaka and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS); and cooperated to carry out the Vietnam Space Centre at the Hoa Lac hi-tech zone with official development assistance (ODA) funding from the Japanese Government.
On June 27, 2016, at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities of the Russian Federation, and VAST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase mutual understanding and expand cooperation in space technology. Roscosmos Vice General Director, Sergey Saveliev, and VAST Vice President, Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Dinh Cong, signed the deal.
At the invitation of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the President of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), on October 20, Academic, Chau Van Minh, Party Central Committee member and President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) led a delegation to pay a working visit to NASB and RFBR.
On October 20, a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST) and the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) took place at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST). The MoU was signed to establish and reinforce the cooperation of research in diverse areas, including information technology, environmental technology, energy, medicine, systematic analysis and creative renewal, especially in the building of a model to imitate, analyse and assess the overlap of policies in technological research and development, and creative renewal.
