Results of fieldtrip: Parabolic Flight 2013 test by Vietnamese students at JAXA

In the framework of cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF), in 2013, the Space Technology Institute under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) coordinated with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and University of Engineering Technology under Vietnam National University to launch the  Parabolic Flight -Asian Student’s Microgravity Flight Experiment Contest – 2013.

9th IOC/WESTPAC International Scientific Symposium

From April 22nd to 25th 2014, the Institute of Oceanography under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology coordinated with the Vietnam intergovernmental oceanographic committee and IOC/WESTPAC to organize the 9th IOC/WESTPAC International Scientific Symposium.

Seminar assessing operation of Vietnam’s remote sensing system

VNREDSat-1 is the first Vietnam Natural Resources, Environment and Disaster monitoring satellite. It was launched into orbit on May 7th 2013 to shoot and provide high-resolution optical images from space efficiently. The satellite serves diverse needs as it monitors natural resources, the environment, disasters and climatic changes in order to contribute to socio-economic development, improve national defence and security, and to enhance scientific research and training.
