Goal and objectives of the project

Development of a set of analytical procedures (including sampling, sample preservation, treatment and analysis methods) standard, used in laboratory tests for the determination of toxins in food

Analyze some of the toxins in collected food samples to check the applicability of the developed analytical processes and to monitor the appearance of several toxins groups in food.

Novelty and actuality and scientific meaningfulness of the results

This project has developed 59 processes of analyzing toxics in food ( 9 processes on ICP/MS; 19 processes on GC/MS; 22 processes on LC/MS; 07 processes of QuEChERS, 01 process for determination of cyanide in fish, 01 process for determination of phenol in fish).
The research has developed the process of making reference samples based on analysis results of 10 prestigious laboratories. Completing standard sample recognition documents under standard ISO/IEC 17034
The subject has expanded the scope of accreditation of Vilas ISO/IEC 17025 on 29 food tests and submit the food testing designation to the Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health
Established website to provide, exchange information in the field of food safety.

Supplement a variety of toxins such as As, Hg, pesticides that are found in many food samples such as vegetables, meat, fish, etc. and study their toxicity effects human health.
Continue to research and develop the methods of identification and determination of counterfeit and substandard foods with the objective of assessing and managing quality in the food safety chain.
